'Only going to get worse': Talbot officials discuss rise in senior homelessness

Talbot County officials and senior care leaders met Tuesday to discuss creating a task force to address senior homelessness, a rapidly accelerating problem, experts say. The request for the task force comes from Talbot County Council member Lynn Mielke. Based on council feedback, a resolution to create the task force seems poised for approval at the council’s Aug. 12 meeting. Read more

Recycle Bins at Perry Cabin Fields Removal Authorized

Due to ongoing concerns about the recycling bins at Perry Cabin Park, specifically, their incompatibility with nearby sport field activities and repeated misuse including household trash, Talbot County Council has authorized Maryland Environmental Services (MES) to remove the bins from the park’s lot. A Journey Through Easton Airport’s ACE Program

At five years old, Tyler already understood that lift, thrust, drag, and gravity were essential for a plane to fly. Over the years, on family trips, he often had the chance to sit in the cockpit of commercial aircraft. By age 10, during baseball practices, he’d consistently stop and track any plane soaring overhead. Tyler’s aviation journey truly took flight when he was 12. Read more
