The Office of Law is administered by the County Attorney under the direct authority of the County Council. The County Attorney is the chief legal officer of the County, conducts all of the law business of the County and is the legal advisor and legislative draftsman for the Council. The County Attorney represents the County in all legal actions in which the County is a party. Generally, the Office of Law represents all County boards and commissions.

Public Information Act Requests

The Maryland Public Information Act and the County's Rules and Procedures for Public Information Act Requests grant the right to review and obtain copies of those public records that are disclosable.
